The Dimethyl Ether (DME) Reactor Equipment‌ of two major components: the outer shell and heat exchange internals. The internals are composed of multiple heat exchange tubes. The DME reactor adopts continuous heat exchange, integrating both reaction and heat exchange functions. The gas flows through the tubes of the reactor, while the catalyst is packed outside the tubes.

Product application

The DME reactor is a liquid slagging gasification technology developed based on crushed coal pressurized gasification technology. In recent years, it has been widely applied in the preparation of raw gas for coal-to-natural gas, methanol, dimethyl ether, ethylene glycol, and fertilizers. This technology features higher gasification intensity and carbon conversion rate.

• Small temperature difference in the catalyst layer, leading to fewer by-products and low methanol consumption.
• Isothermal reactionensures high catalyst production intensity, providing favorable conditions for large-scale DME plants.
• Simple process and convenient operation. The process mainly includes methanol vaporization, DME distillation, and methanol recovery, with easy operation and process control.
• Low inlet temperature and high outlet temperature. The reaction heat for producing fuel-grade DME can replace steam for heating the DME reboiler, requiring a low steam pressure grade.
• Sufficient recovery of reaction heatreduces steam consumption. The reaction heat is not only used to heat the inlet gas and preheat raw material methanol but also to heat the DME or methanol reboiler, enabling full heat utilization and reducing steam and cooling water consumption.
