Product Introduction

As a type of shell-and-tube heat exchanger, the Packed Column Heat Exchanger features one end of the tube bundle fixed and the other end sealed by a packed gland, allowing free expansion and contraction to eliminate thermal stress. This structure offers advantages of simple manufacturing, low cost, and easy maintenance. It is suitable for working conditions with large temperature differences between the tube and shell, easy scaling, and low pressure, especially in severely corrosive scenarios requiring frequent maintenance.


Product Structure

  • One end of the tube bundle of the packed exchanger is fixed to the tube sheet, while the other end is sealed by an external packed gland。
  • Allowing the tube bundle to axially expand and contract freely.
  • This design combines the advantages of floating head and fixed tube sheet types, avoiding thermal stress.
  • The entire tube bundle can be withdrawnfor easy cleaning and maintenance.
  • Currently, the commonly used diameter is below 700mm, and it is less used under large diameter or high-pressure/high-temperature conditions.
