Product Description

The flash washing tower is a composite equipment integrating flash evaporation and scrubbing functions, combining both gas-liquid separation (flash evaporation) and gas purification/absorption (scrubbing). It can complete the processes of pressure reduction vaporization, gas-liquid separation, and gas phase scrubbing within a single device.

 


Structural Features

Integrated Design:

  • Flash Evaporation Section: The upper space is used for pressure reduction vaporization of high-pressure fluids and preliminary gas-liquid separation.
  • WashingSection: The lower space is equipped with packing or spray devices to scrub and purify the gas phase generated by flash evaporation.

Key Interfaces:

  • Flash Evaporation Section: Feed inlet (with pressure relief valve), gas phase outlet (to scrubbing section), liquid phase outlet (bottom).
  • WashingSection: Detergent inlet, purified gas outlet, scrubbing liquid outlet (recyclable or drainable).

 


Working Principle

Flash Evaporation Process: Separates mixtures into different components using differences in volatility.

  • In the distillation process, heat input vaporizes liquid substances, while heat absorption condenses gaseous substances into liquid. When gas passes through the packing layer, it contacts the packing, cools down, and condenses into droplets, thereby separating from the liquid mixture.
  • The separation results in substances with different concentrations forming at different heights in the tower.

Washing Process: Based on the principle of pollutant adsorption. Pollutants in the air are adsorbed into water and then discharged.

  • This is achieved through contact between gas and water.
  • As air flows through water, water molecules adsorb pollutants in the air, causing them to precipitate into the water.

 


Application Industries

  • Chemical Industry: In petrochemical processes, used for tail gas treatment in crude oil distillation, catalytic cracking, etc., to separate volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and purify gases.
  • Power Industry: In wet flue gas desulfurization processes, flash scrubbers treat desulfurized slurry to recover water through flash evaporation, concentrate gypsum slurry, and scrub residual SO₂ and particulates in tail gas to achieve zero discharge or compliant treatment of desulfurization wastewater.
  • Metallurgical Industry: In steel production, used to treat dusty gases such as blast furnace gas and converter gas, cooling the gas and removing dust (e.g., iron oxide dust) through flash scrubbers, while recovering sensible heat from the gas via flash evaporation.
  • Environmental Protection and Hazardous Waste Treatment Industry: In industrial wastewater treatment, used for flash ammonia stripping from high-concentration organic wastewater (e.g., ammonia-nitrogen wastewater), while scrubbing and recovering volatile ammonia and purifying the gas phase.
  • New Energy Industry: In lithium battery production, used to treat exhaust gases containing volatile organic compounds (e.g., NMP), recovering solvents through flash evaporation and scrubbing to purify the gas.
  • Food and Pharmaceutical Industry: Meets the hygiene standards for food and pharmaceutical production, enabling mild separation and purification of substances.
